8 days and counting

I looked at a calendar today realized that Christmas is 8 days away. How did it sneak up on me like this ? The last 3 weeks have been a whirl-wind at work-- and somehow just because others are decorating for the holiday, it doesn't sink in that I should participate in this holiday too.
